Women's Study Circle. At the bi-weekly meeting of the Women's Study Circle Mr. Ned Wright, the speaker, gave an interesting talk about the aboriginals of Australia, showing photographs he had taken when he lived among them. Karori Townswomen. Mrs. Flockton presided at the May meeting of the Karori branch of the Dominion Federation of Townswomen's Guilds. Miss McKay gave a descriptive talk on the Taj Mahal. The War-work Circle has made a grant of £5 to the Karori Soldiers' Welfare Association, and is continuing with the reconditioning of soldiers' clothing for the Utilisation of Waste Depot. A Thrift and Handwork Circle has been formed, with Mrs. Mclntosn convener.
