ASSAULT ON WOMAN
After a retirement of more than three hours yesterday, a jury in the Supreme Court found Edward Robert Hillett, soldier, 31 (Mr. R. TW. Burnard), guilty of attempted rape at Tawa Flat on February 22. The prisoner, who was charged with rape and, alternatively, assault with intent to commit rape, was remanded for sentence by Mr. Justice Blair. . . Mr. W. H. Cunningham appeared for the crown. ; :
