LICENSING TRUST
PROCLAMATION AWAITED
The Invercargill Licensing Trust Act awaits a proclamation by the Governor-General before it ■ becomes operative, and this is expected to be published during this week. The trust provided for in the Act will then be constituted, two members being nominated by the Invercargill City Council and one by the South Invercargill Borough Council. A further three members are to be nominated by the Minister of Justice (Mr. Mason). The Governor-General will appoint the chairman, though not necessarily from the Government nominees.
