PRIMARY PRODUCTION
. It is anticipated that an official announcement will be made within the next few days regarding the Government's plans'for increased primary production. When the subject:was raised in the House of Representatives on Tuesday of this week Opposition members suggested that the Government's plans would include new butterfat and pig meat prices. The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) refused to be drawn, stating at that stage that the matter had still to be discussed further with representatives of the dairy industry. It is now understood that the Government is in the positipn to make an announcement shortly.
