FRENCH UNITY
DE GAULLE BROADCASTS LONDON, April 4. "The war has entered a decisive: phase," said General de Gaulle in a! oroadcast from Algiers radio. "For j France, the trials have yet to reach j their limit. France's forces must also j reach their maximum. France's struggles for salvation and the struggles of the other nations demand unity, which implies that Frenchmen must depend on a single leadership and subordinate personal or party quarrels to the sacred duty of beating the enemy. "The national unity demands that all Frenchmen should follow this Government. No authority is valid unless it acts under this Government's name. There cannot be international engagements except those which this Government concludes."
