SELECTIVE SERVICE IN U.S.
Rec. 11 a.m. RUGBY. April 5. Immediate steps to make available for service in the United States armed forces every physically fit man under 26 years of age were announced in Washington in a broadcast by MajorGeneral Hershey, Director of United States Selective Service. For registrants over 26, he said, requirements would be progressively less I strict as the age increased.-r8.0.W.
