STOPPED BY ARMY

I A complaint that Army censors were stopping certain matter addressed by troops to members of Parliament was contained in a notice of question by Mr. C. G. E. Harker (National, Waipawa) to the Minister of Defence in the House of Representatives. He asked the Minister .whether he knew that letters to members of Parliament on matters not concerned with security or the Army, but pertaining to social security forms and the like, were being.stopped by some Army censors because they were addressed.to members of Parliament. "An attempt by an old personal friend of mine to, communicate with. me on one* such' matter was prevented by an Army cen-, sor," added Mr. Harker. • . : .. -
