ROWE—PERKINS

Dorothy Olive Perkins, only daughter of Mrs. J. W. Perkins, HighlandPark, and the late Mr. Perkins, was married to Leslie Grimmond Rowe, third son of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Rowe, Grey Lynn, Auckland,1 at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul on Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Mr. Isaacson. The bride was given in marriage by her cousin, Mr. C. R. Perkins. Mrs. M. Kelly, of Tauranga, was matron of honour, Miss Margaret Muff, of South Canterbury, bridesmaid, and Julie Perkins (cousin), flower girl. Mr. Jock Lomas (Wellington) was best man, and the groomsman was Mr. M. Rowe, R.N.Z.A.F. (brother). Ivory slipper satin formed the bride's beautiful gown, which was made with tight-fitting bodice and bouffant skirt, silver lace being appliqued into the bodice and sleeves and train. Silver lace and real cream flowers made into a halo held in place the bride's long tulle veil, and she carried a bouquet of cream water lilies. All her attendants were dressed alike in bouffant frocks of pale pink taffeta and cream lace, the skirts festooned with ribbons and flowers. Pink flowers were worn in the hair, and the elder attendants' bouquets were of pink water lilies, whilst the small girl carried carnations. Pink and mauve flowers decorated the church and also the Lyceum Club, where the reception was held. Mrs. Perkins received her guests wearing a charming petrel blue ensemble, braided with mauve and a blue hat trimmed with mauve, and her bouquet was in shades to tone.
