"JUST SILLY"
Frank Lawrence "Clark was convicted and discharged at the Lower Hutt Court yesterday for leaving his employment without the permission of the man-power officer, and on a further charge of failing to report he was ordered to pay the costs. It was shown that the defendant was medically unfit, but had failed to send in a medical certificate. Mr. W. C. Harley, S.M., said he thought "the whole thing just silly," but as the law stood a conviction would have to be entered.
