SWIMMING CARNIVAL
South Island representatives who competed at the recent swimming championships at Auckland took part in a carnival held by the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Swimming Association at the Riddiford Baths, Lower Hutt, last night. Members of the Southland team gave an excellent exhibition of.divirig and also a water waltzing act. The results were:— ■ 06 2-3 Junior and Intermediate Handicap.— First heat: N. Bennle (3sec), 1; J. The Fenwick Shield relay race of elght-a-slde between Hutt (holders) and Petone was won by Hutt.
