ACCIDENT TOLL RISES
Rec. 9 a.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 22. The death-roll in yesterday's level crossing accident near the Hawkesbury River station has risen to 16. A fourth member of one family, a boy aged six, died in hospital this morning. Two others of the same family are still in a critical condition. The police inquiring into the tragedy have been told that both gates at the level crossing were open to > road traffic when the accident occurred.
