PERSONAL NOTES
Mrs. G. W. Arlidge and Mrs. A. W. Arlidge are Palmerston North visitors to Wellington. Miss Marjorie Curlett, Hastings, is visiting Wellington, and is staying at the Midland Hotel. Colonel and Mrs. R.'Beere have returned to Wellington from Opoutama, Hawke's Bay. Miss Iris Dove, New Zealand table tennis champion, and Sergeant Richard Malcolm Rowntree (on furlough from the Pacific), a member of the Army cricket team, were married in Auckland on Saturday. Early next month Lieutenant Keith Elliott, V.C., will marry Miss Margaret Markham, Hastings, at St. Matthew's Church, Hastings. Misses Eileen and Lucy Elliott will be bridesmaids. Miss G. D. Miles has arrived from Dunedin to take up an appointment as vocational guidance officer for girls in Wellington. .
