U.S. OFFICER FROM PERSIA
O.C. AUCKLAND, This Day. An officer of the United States Foreign Service, Mr. R. J. Gibbons, arrived at Auckland by air on Saturday from Sydney, on his way to take up duty at the American Legation in Wellington. Mr. Gibbons has spent the past six years on the staff of the Legation at Teheran, his first post in the service. He was previously a member of the United States Marine Corps. Mrs. Gibbons accompanies him.
