DEATH AT NINETY-NINE
The death has occurred at the residence of her son, Marangai, Okaihau, Bay of .Islands, of Mrs. Mary Ann Harrison, aged 99. With her husband, the late Mr. Joseph Harrison, Mrs. Harrison came to New Zealand in 1365 in the ship Lancashire Witch. She took her full share in the pioneering life of the Far North. Her husband was instrumental in having the Okaihau block opened under the' Homestead Act, and he subsequently taught in schools at Okaihau, which he opened, and other places. Mrs. Harison is survived by a son and four daughters.
