"GREAT JOB OF WORK"
NEW ZEALAND HOUSE
Rec. 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 6. News of New Zealanders who escaped from Italy to Switzerland has been received in London from Private D. L. Jacobs, of Christchurch. He states that "about 50 from the camp I was in had arrived. The Swiss people are very good, and kindness itself. I have been able to hire a wireless set, and listen-in to the New Zealand news which is broadcast from Londpn every Tuesday." Expressing thanks to Mr. C. B. Burdekin, who is in charge of the prisoners of war department, he said: "New Zealand House has done a great job of work for our lads. I really believe we are treated better than the men from any of the other Dominions."
