DEATH IN U.S.A.
WELL-KNOWN AUTHORESS
The death of the well-known authoress and lecturer, Miss Armine Von Tempsky, aged 44, occurred] in California recently. She was born in the Hawaiian Islands, a descendant of a Polish family, which early emigrated to New Zealand. She wrote "Born in Paradise," an autobiography that became a best seller, and among her books for girls were "Judy of the Islands" and "Pam's Paradise Ranch." She was a close friend, of Mrs. C. Larmian London, widow of Jack London, the writer.
