N. 2. TYPHOON SQUADRON LONDON, November 16. The New Zealand Typhoon fighter squadron, led by Wing Commander D. J. Scott, this afternoon attacked ships near Le Havre. An armed coastal vessel was left in flames and sinking and a second vessel was set on fire and had ik superstructure shot away. Wing Commander Scott said: "We shot them up from mast height. Some of the pilots saw Germans jumping over the side." Typhoon fighter-bombers, diving through a gap in the clouds this morning, attacked seaplane hangars -near Brest. The leader saw bombs score direct hits on hangars and buildings nearby. Mosquitoes bombed a spirit plant near Saint Nazaire.
