PUSH ON .MONO ISLAND
LONDON, October 31.'
On Mono Island, in the Treasury group, New Zealand and United States troops are pushing the Japanese towards the north-east coast, in the direction of Bougainville. A correspondent says that the Japanese may attempt to evacuate the island by night. Meanwhile, the Allied air attacks continue.
