FIGHTING IN HUNGARY

LONDON, October 30,

Croat Partisans have crossed the Hungarian frontier at a number of points, and are at present fighting in Hungarian territory, states a Yugoslav Army of Liberation communique. The Yugoslavs routed a German column at Knin, 40 miles north-west of Split, on the Adriatic, after a 10----hour battle, and also dispersed a column 25 miles south of Belgrade.

Allied planes supporting the Yugoslavs have bombed enemy columns near Metkovic, in southern Yugoslavia.
