VIOLENT BRAWL IN SYDNEY
SYDNEY, October 30, In the most violent brawl in Sydney for years, -12 policemen were'injured and. 15 men were arrested at Manly last night. Police, reinforced by members" of the Provost Corps, used their batons, and it was an hour before the disturbance was suppressed. While thousands looked on, an angry shouting mob followed the -police to the doors of the Manly police station. The disturbance began when the police were called to remove three soldieri from-..the bridge of a Manly ferry- boat .
