USED BY BOMBERS
REVOLUTIONARY COMPASS
Rec. 11.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 13. Mr. Charles Marcus, vice-president of the Bendix Aviation Corporation, disclosed that the revolutionary new gyroflux gate compass had been guiding United Nations bombers to their objectives and home again for months.
Mr. Marcus said the compass used the earth's magnetic field for developing electrical impulses which turned the compass indicator. It was not disturbed in a dive or climb, and can now be revealed because the enemy has captured some. However, it is impossible for them to duplicate it, much less produce it in volume.
