READ WHAT S. G. HOLLAND SAYS—AND BELIEVES
EXTRACT FROM REPORT OF A SPEECH BY MR. HOLLAND.
"The National Party believed that the people were happiest when free from Government dictation and bureaucratic control. Every member of their Parliamentary party was given complete freedom to vote on any question according to the dictates of his own conscience and judgment.', (Applause.) He did not want 'Yes-, men' in the National Party. Except, on a vote of no-confidence, every mem-4 ber of the party was free to vote ac«; cording to his own conscience. (Ap** plause.) "The coming election would provide the people of New Zealand with an opportunity of! selecting a Government of their own choice. The people were entitled to a better Government than they had had, and the National Party would enable them to choose that better Government. If they wanted good government then they must work for it by supporting the National Party and its candidates. The pre-i sent Government's policy stood for unadulterated State control as against that of the National Party's policy of return to individual freedom.
Frank, tolerant, and understanding, S. G. Holland is the leader for New. Zealand. Change the Government next Saturday—VOTE NATIONAL.— Advt ■ :
