Lord Dawson of Perm has been unanimously elected president of the British Medical Association. He is the first president to be elected for the second time for many years.
A report submitted to the annual meeting stated that the membership had increased by more than 5000 since the outbreak of war and by 3049 to 44,288 since the end of 1942.
