MARRIED IN CAIRO
News has been received of the wedding at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Cairo, Egypt, of SergeantMajor Mervyn Halsey Woolven, Second N.Z.E.F., second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Woolven, of Hamilton, his bride being Miss Georgette Sclias, younger daughter of Mrs. Sclias, of Cairo. The church had bee" beautifully decorated by friends, and Colonel Alexander, chief chaplain to the Middle East Forces, performed the ceremony. The bride wore an ensemble of ivory embossed crepe and a veiled picture hat. She carried a sheaf of roses and gardenias with asparagus fern. Members of the Second N.Z.E.F. formed a guard of honour for the bridal couple as they left the church. A reception attended by a large number of New Zealand friends was held at the New Zealand Forces Club.
