ITALIAN PROPERTY & FORCES Rec. 11.50 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 14.
Tokio radio stated that the Imperial Japanese army and navy, after the surrender of the Badoglio Government on September 9, immediately disarmed all Italian troops and detained Italian warships and other vessels scattered throughout east Asia, and that Italian properties in the regions under Japanese occupation have been taken over. Non-combatant Italian personnel within the Japanese-occupied territories are at present under surveillance and protection.
