£5000 STAKE ATTACHED P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The stake for the New Zealand Trotting Cup, to be run at the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Meeting on November 6, will. be £5000. The limit will be 4.27 for two miles, but horses assessed at 4.28 will be allowed to compete. The stake money to be offered for the two days of the meeting will be £16,500, and the smallest stake on the programme will be £500. _________________ CAR AND TRAM COLLIDE A Royal New Zealand Navy saloon car making a right-hand turn towards Buckle Street from Kent Terrace just before 9.30 today collided with r. northbound tram rounding the corner of Ellice Street. No one was injured, but the right-hand front mudguard of the car was badly dented. , CITY MISSION'S STREET DAY ' The1 total amount collected by the Wellington City Mission on its street day last week was £840.
