Captain Guggenberger. Captain Friedrich Guggenberger, was imprisoned recently when a United States navy patrol bomber sank his U-boat off the Brazilian coast. Five other Germans were also taken prisoner. Captain Guggenberger kept his submarine on the surface and tried to fight • the aircraft instead of submerging, but the vessel was sunk in the first attack.—B.O.W. RUSSIAN PATRIARCH . , LONDON, September 12. Before a crowd of 3000, Sergius, Metropolitan of Moscow, was officially installed in Moscow Cathedral as the new Patriarch of all the Russians. The office has been vacant, except for a brief period in 1917, since the death of Patriarch Adrian in the year 1700.
