NORWEGIANS ENGAGE ENEMY
RUGBY, September 11. A Norwegian naval communique says: "Norwegian light forces at 1 a.m. today engaged an enemy patrol and escort craft in the area of Kristiansund, a small island off the west coast of Norway, 250 miles from Oslo. A 4000-ton merchantman was torpedoed and sunk. The force returned to its base undamaged and without casualties."—B.O.W.
