SALVATIONIST HONOURED
A signal honour was bestowed on one of the oldest Salvationists in the Dominion when Commissioner J. Evan-Smith'presented the Order of the Founder to Envoy W. Colley at a meeting in the Salvation.. Army Hall, Constable Street, yesterday afternoon. This order is conferred on Salvationists for distinguished service such as would ~ meet with the approval of the Army s r founder, William Booth. Envoy Colley is the second New Zealand Salvationist to be thus decorated, the other being Envoy S. Buick f of New Plymouth. Envoy Colley opened the first Wellington Corps sixty years ago and did much to lay the foundations of the Army in the Dominion. Throughout the years he has rendered faithful and devoted service as a local officer, help- • ing to build up the South Wellington Wellington City and Wellington South Bands and Songster Brigades:,-. gave an excellent programme at thisgathering. . _______
