RUGBY SELECTIONS

WELLINGTON PLAYERS

Two Wellington representative Rugby teams will be in the field next Saturday, one against Auckland at Auckland and the other against Manawatu at Wellington. The selection of the teams has been made by Mr. A. McDonald as follows:-—■

v. Auckland.—Webster (Navy); Biigh (Hutt), Roberts (Athletic), Hookham (Poneke-Orien-tal); Patrick (University), Freeman (Petone); Bevan (Well. Coll. Old Boys) ; White (Petone), Stanaway (Marist Bros. O.B.), Young (Army), Firmin and Calcinai (Poneke-Oriental) Haigh (Hutt), Lindsay (Well. Coll. Old Boys), Baumber (Eastbourne). Emergencies : Dougan (Petone) and Shirley (Navy). Butler (Army) was not available.

v. Manawatu. —Kent (Petone); Sanson (Eastbourne), S. Jaegar (Petone), Hastings (Marist Bros. O.B.) ; MacMorran (Athletic), Mullin (Marlst Bros. O.B.) ; Johns (PonekeOriental) ; Amies (Well. Coll. O.B.), Rawlings and Cleverley (Poneke-Oriental), Foley (Marist Bros.' 0.8.1), Bills and' ' Southee (Petone), Flaws (Army), and another (to replace • Shirley, who now goes to the team for Auckland). Emergencies: Norton (Marist Bros. O.B.), Grieg and Harding (PonekeOriental), Dolden and S. Mcßride (Johnsouville), A. MacLennan (University).

Both teams are to train at the Oriental gymnasium at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday. Any selected player not available is to advise the Rugby Union secretary without delay.
