REHAB!LITATION IN ACTION A FLYING START.
"There is nothing within our means and the bounds of common sense," said the Prime Minister, the Rt. Honourable Peter Fraser, "that we can do for these men that we ought not to do." That promise is being lived up to. Today, when 10,000 men have returned from overseas, we find that £300,000 has been paid out. in loans for houses, £280.000 in finance for farms, and £71,000 in furniture loans. The Labour Government's trade-training schemes are in full.swing, and university studies are being made available to returned servicemen. The citizen, as well as the soldier, has learned to rely on Peter Fraser's word. Staunch and forthright in his methods, he has fought all his life for better conditions for everyone. In the council of nations Peter Fraser stands as high as he does in the estimation of the Wellington Central electors who have put their trust in him for the last 25 years. He never has —or will—betray the trust of those he represents. His thousands of supporters in Wellington Central confidently predict a larger, majority for Peter Fraser—and Labour—than ever before. —Advt.
