CHINESE BELIEF
SOVIET WILL FIGHT JAPAN
Rec. noon. CHUNGKING, 3ept. 10. Russia will join in the war against Japan and autumn, 1944, will see the Armistice. This prediction was made by General Apo-kai, the Chinese military spokesman. He added that he believed Germany would surrender within six months. There was every possibility that Russia would then come in, and after that Japan would soon collapse.
