JAPS SEIZE ITALIAN FIRMS
NEW YORK, September 10. Chungking reports that a Tokio broadcast said the Japanese had seized all Italian enterprises and property in the occupied zones in east Asia, mvv eluding Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manchuria, occupied China/and the South Seas area. The Chinese Minister of War, General Ho Ying Chin, commenting on the Italian surrender, said: "Now we can rub our eyes and watch.the end of the Japanese." He said the entire weight of the British and United States fleets could now be brought to the Pacific for a show-down against Japan, as the Allied navies had lost their opponent on the European front.
