(Luke 8:1.) IT will be seen from the above that Jesus preached "the glad tidings (I.e. gospel) of the Kingdom of God" "throughout every city and village." (See also Matt. 4:23, Matt. 9:35, Mark 1:14, Luke 4:43, Acts 1:3.) Is .It not strange that today one never hears the clergy preaching "the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God" when Jesus preached- it "throughout every city and village"? No ■ better news could be preached than 'the glad ' 'tidings of the Kingdom'of God.". It is the good news" that there Is to be Divine intervention* in the affairs of men; that Jesus Christ- will return to the earth in person to establish a universal Divine Kingdom upon earth even the Kingdom Jesus taught His disciples to pray for "Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be»done in earth, as it is in Heaven" ' : (Acts 1:11, Acts 3:19-21, Matt. 6:10, Rev. 11:15, Acts 17:31, Luke 1:31-33, Isa. 9:6-7, Zech. 14:9). With the establishment of the Kingdom of God upon earth ev,ery evil" under ; the sun will be abolished; "the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord" (Numbs. 14:21); "nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any mose" (Isa. 2:4); there will he "peace on earth and goodwill among men" (Luke 2:14, Isa. 9:6, Isa. 11 :l-10); poverty and oppression will bo abolished (Psalm 72) ; sin will be restrained (Rev. 19:15, Rev. 20:3); there will be Divine laws (Isa. 2:3); long life (Isa. 65:20-22); rulers-who will have the power to heal all manner of sickness and disease (1 Cor. 6:2, Hebs. 6:5, Isa. 35:5-6); and one universal religion resulting in the abolition of all sectarian strife (Jer. 3:17, Zeph. 3 :9, Zech. 8:20-22, Zech. 14:16-19). Then with such conditions prevailing "all families of the earth will be blessed," as God promised' Abraham (Gen. 12:3, Gen. 22:18, Gals. 3:8). la preaching . : "the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God," "throughout every city and village," could Jesus have preached better tidings than tho foregoing and yet the deplorable fact Is that these "glad tidings" are neither preached nor believed In Christendom today. Reader; it is clear from the Scriptures that you cannot be saved unless you believe this "gospel of the Kingdom of God" (Mark 16 :16, '■ Boms. 1:16, 1 Cor. 15:1-2). For a thorough exposition thereof you should read the book "CHRISTENDOM ASTRAY." A copy will be sent free on application to "BIBLE TRUTH," Box 71. Wellington. » IVIAN ST. GOSPEL HALL, Wellington.
