"WINGS FOR VICTORY"
Rec. 11 a.m. RUGBY, August 18. Lord Kindersley, President of the National Savings Committee, has announced that the complete and certified figures for "Wings for Victory" week showed the total amounted to nearly £616,000,000, an increase of £70.000,000 over the Warship Week's total last year. Approximately £180,----000,000, or 29 per cent., represented national savings.—B.O.W.
