WELLINGTON CENTRAL

A ballot of National Party members in the Wellington Central electorate will be taken tomorrow night to decide upon their candidate for the General Election. As announced in "The Post", last night, Mr. E. R. Toop will be one of the candidates in the ballot, and the other is to be Mr. Will Appleton, a member of the City Council and of the Harbour Board. He stood against the Prime Minister at the last General Election and polled 5539 votes compared with Mr. Fraser's 9376.
