SOVIET GOME-BACK
FEATURE OF FIGHTING
j LONDON, July 14. The Red Army is steadily wearingl down yon Kluge's forces in the battle of the Kursk bulge, reports Reuters Moscow correspondent. Fighting went on all day on Monday in all sectors north and south of the Kursk salient, but was characterised by two outstanding facts: First, the Germans attacked with smaller forces and noticeably less vigour; and, secondly, the Russian defences developed ; a tremendous come-back. | ■ Renter's.- correspondent adds: . "The I battle for Kursk is not yet decided, [but unless yon Kluge : is >able to prpI duce a military white rabbit from Hitller's battered top hat, it looks as ; though Goebbels's intuition was sound i when he pretended that the German offensive was not an offensive at all."
