His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, attended by Captain H. G, Helmore, opened the annual general meeting of the New Zealand Red Cross Society this morning.
The Hon. T. Brindle, M.L.C. (retiring member) and Commissioner, L. H. Job]in were nominated by the Jqhnsonville Town Board last night to fill the two vacancies for local body representatives on' the Technical College Board of Governors.. Mr. Joblin is on the staff of the Kelburn Normal School and is the hon. secretary of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute.
