NEW YORK, July 8. "Though there are a score of competent correspondents at Rendova, all news of the fighting in the Solomons must emanate from Australia or Washington." says the "New York Herald Tribune" in an editorial. "Between Washington and Australia the wires seem frequently to cross. It is a grotesque position, suggesting that our service chiefs still need expert advice on the importance of public information."
