: The first meeting of • the national negotiating committee of the coalmining industry was held in London today. The Minister of Fuel and Power, Major G. Lloyd George, described the meeting as "rt landmark in the history of the coalmining industry" and sent his best wishes for the permanent success cf the new conciliation machinery.—B.O.W.
