Government House, Wellington, June 26. His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, attended by Captain H. G. Helm ore, was present at a korero of the Wellington Savage Club this evening, j June 27. ! His Excellency the GovernorGeneral attended Divine Service at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul this morning. ' This evening, his Excellency, attended by Major C. J. Holland-Martin, was present at the annual church service of the Order of St. John. j i The Hon. H. G. R. Mason. Minister of Education, returned to Wellington today from Auckland. ; Mr. A. H. Johnstone. K.C., Mr. T.; Henry, and Mr. H. O. Cooney arrived from Auckland today to attend a j sitting,of the Court of Appeal. Mr. C. L. MacDiarmid has retired; from the position of chairman of the Hamilton High School board of governors after holding office for 22 years. His successor is Mr. H. M. Hammond.
