TARGETS FOR AIR BLOWS
PORT IN SARDINIA LONDON, June 24. The Allied air forces in the Mediterranean diverted their blows from the Italian mainland to Italy's islands on Tuesday night. Their objective was a target in north-east Sardinia, the port of Olbia, a supply base for the island's garrison. The docks were badly damaged by R.A.F. Wellingtons from North Africa. R.A.F. heavy bombers went to Comiso, in south-east Sicily, and hit a runway and a hangar. ' Fighter-bombers from Malta were over Sicily yesterday, attacking railways in the south of the island. An enemy tanker has also been sunk in a daylight attack. . Two aircraft are missing.
