WASHING SMALL WOOLLIES
The simplest way of washing small woollies is this. First make a lather. Toss the small garments into a large colander and immerse this in the soapy water. The soapy water plunges through the holes
in the colander every time it is put in and out of the water. Dirt is quickly and effectively removed without stretching the garment. Rinse in the same way and thread the final water out while garment is still in the colander. This removes the water without that most shrinking of all actions on wet woollies—wringing.
