Miss Pamela Blundell, Wellington, Is visiting Christchurch.

Mrs. F. S. Pope, Kelburn Parade, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Hall, Whangarei, and will go to Auckland later to spend the winter months. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hutchinson Inglis, WeHhiSton South, celebrated their silver wedding with a party at the Orange Hall, Newtown, on Monday night. The programme opened with the toast of the King, proposed by Major Torlese, and at supper time Mr. Harry Baker, another old family friend, proposed the toast to the host and hostess. Mr. W. Denby arid Mr. • Sanders also made brief speeches. Mr. Thomas Thompson was M.C. for the dancing, and Dr. Bondy entertained with an accordion solo.
