SEALS NEAR WELLINGTON

The unusual sight of seals sporting on and around the rocks was seen at Karehana Bay, near Plimmerton, this morning. There were several scab there together, and they did not appear to be in any way sick or injured. "They seemed to be there just for amusement," said one resident, who added that such visits were very uncommon.

Mr. T. Sincock, a factory hand, living at 34 Elizabeth St., Moera, had the first finger of his right hand. severed at the first joint when it was caughi among machinery at the Ajax Bolt and Rivet Company's works at Lower Huti this morning. He was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
