WAR WORK AND SCHOOLS
The attendances at schools in Invercargill and in country districts have been affected by the transfer of workers, cai'penters, and 6ther tradesmen to northern centres, says the Southland "Daily Ne^vs." In many instances when married men join the Armed Forces and go to northern camps their wives and families take up residence near the camps.
