LADY NEWALL TAKES SALUTE
As titular head of the three women's Services her Excellency Lady Newall took the salute as units of the W.A.A.C., W.A.A.F., W.W.S.A., and St John Ambulance and Red Cross Voluntary Aids marched past in the
street parade in aid of the Sick and Wounded Fund flag day appeal. Miss Walton accompanied her Excellency, and others in the official party at the saluting base were Chief Commander V. Jowett (commandant W.A.A.C.), Wing Officer Kain (Superintendent W.A.A.F.), Mrs Peter Fraser, and representatives of the St. John Ambulance and Red Cross Society, officials of the appeal fund, and Mr. R. A. Wright, who represented the Mayor, Mr. Hislop. Her Excellency j...knowledged each salute with a bow. The women who took part in the procession were all smartly uniformed and their marching did the services great credit.
