HOSPITAL BOARD LEVY
The executive of the Wellington Ratepayers' Association at its last meeting passed the following motion: — "That in view of the fact that within a month or two the City Council will be considering the estimates for 1943----44 the Wellington Ratepayers' Association urges upon councillors the necessity for taking whatever action is necessary to relieve home owners and ratepayers generally of the injustice imposed by double taxation as evidenced in hospital board levies, and further that the time to act is now and not after the Hospital Board in Wellington has made the levy for the year under review."
