Two secondary school cricket matches were played in Wellington this week and in both of them the local teams were successful. Wellington Technical College beat Wanganui Technical College by an innings and 6 runs. Wanganui made 114 (Murchie 41 not out; Head six for 43) and 117 /Stewart 36), and Wellington made i%L fS£ l even wickets, declared (Baker 104, McMorran 52; Nabi Jan four for 61).

Scots College beat Feilding Agricultural High School by 119 runs. Scots made 137 (Gray 53; Scott five for 43) and 172 for five, declared (Gray 49, Lee 26 not out, James 24). Feilding's scores were 77 (Lee five for 49, Hudson five for 26) and 113 (Burton six for 7, Hudson three for 35). HIGH SCHOOL MATCH. This year's cricket match between the first elevens of the Dahnevirke and Hutt Valley High Schools was played at the Hutt . Valley High School ground, the home team winning by 138 runs.
