(Rec. 12.45 p.m.) RUGBY, March 19. The United States Navy Department states: "In the South Pacific on March 38 Flying Fortresses carried out minor attacks against the Japanese positions at Kahili and Ballale, in the Shortland Island area, and also at VHa, in the central Solomons. The results were not observed. "Dauntless dive-bombers, escortf / by Wildcat fighters, later bombed Vila and started a fire. All the United States planes returned safely."—B.O.W.
